While most events in the area are dedicated for children’s enjoyment, it was time for adults to experience an occasion dedicated to their entertainment, Granado said. Its moments like these where Lakewood residents can step out for social interaction and build new relationships through conversations over wine, delicate treats and savory appetizers.

So far the event has gained popularity amongst Lakewood neighbors – selling 75 tickets (and potentially more with day-of sales). The “progressive style dinner” is what Granado hopes will be an annual tradition for many years.

The biggest benefit of the event (in addition to fundraising) is having a new tradition for the neighborhood and mingling with 75 new faces, she shared.

A portion of the money raised through ticket sales will be donated to the, Lakewood Hills Crime Watch, a volunteer program started by the Neighborhood Association Crime Watch Board, aimed at reducing neighborhood crime.

In addition to food and beverages, people can enjoy live music by New Texas Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra will have 5 string members play throughout the night, Ambiance Chamber Players include: Stephen Murphy, Marianne de Chastelaine, Jessica Simpson, Isaiah Benjamin, and Robyn Howe.

The event will be held in the backyards of resident homes.
