Our reporter Rachel Stone last Wednesday posted info about a series of burglaries in the East Dallas area. Channel 11 and the Morning News picked up the story last night and this morning respectively, noting the bit about the burglar moving potted plants in front of doors to determine whether residents are home or not, which apparently makes the guy (or girl) ‘clever’ (ugh—wish we’d stop putting complimentary labels on these thugs. They even gave him a nickname, "The Vacation Burglar".).
I saw Channel 11’s J.D. Miles interviewing Lakewood Crime Watch’s Nancy Wilson, along with Dep. Chief Tom Lawrence, last night following the Northeast Police Crime Summit. Here’s that video.
