The Lakewood parade is Saturday, July 3rd. The event dubbed “Lakewood Shows its Stars” starts at the corner of Cambria and Lakewood at 10 a.m. Prizes await those with the best costumes and floats — the contest has historically made for entertaining scenery. The Little Forest Hills Neighborhood Association will also have its annual Fourth of July Parade at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 3, featuring drum corps bands, dancing, fire engines and a visit from Uncle Sam. The parade begins at the corner of Diceman and Old Gate and ends at Casa Linda Park with watermelon, drinks and prizes.
