Last night, my wife and I went to the Majestic Theater to see "Twelve Angry Men" starring Norm (George Wendt) from Cheers and John Boy (Richard Thomas) from the Waltons. It was a relatively packed house, and the show was great — if you’ve ever seen the movie starring Henry Fonda, Jack Warden and a cast of other well-known character actors, you’ll like this one, too. And if you haven’t seen the movie, the story involves 12 jurors tasked with determining the guilt or innocence of a man. If you’re looking for ticket info for the show, which ends March 4, visit the DSM website. Just fyi, Wendt must have gained another 50 pounds from his Cheers days, and Thomas is wearing hearing aids and isn’t very tall. Neither actually has the play’s biggest role, but both do fine. And to make it a complete "downtown" event, we also had dinner at Iron Cactus a few blocks away — a good spot, reasonably priced and (unfortunately for them), plenty of seats on a Tuesday night.
