My buddy David Hines just sent me this link noting the return to Dallas of Boley and Wilson, if only for a night. For those too new to the area, Boley and Wilson operated a legendary Greenville Avenue (at about University) comedy club throughout the ’70’s. They, with their band, were the only act. It was the kind of raunchy, childish, timely humor so near and dear to the hearts of young college punks who had had one Schlitz too many. But if laughter can leave scars, I’ve got’em. I like to think we’ve moved on to better, more sophisticated entertainment, but I’m probably kidding myself. Don’t know if I’ll try to go, but man, it’s tempting.
