As we near the end of October, the Holiday season peaks around the corner. We begin to set up Holiday decor in our homes, people begin to put lights up around the neighborhood and festive activities make their return in November.

This year, Holiday at the Arboretum presents three large-scale exhibits, a Million Lights and an Indoor Display, hosted by Reliant, the festival runs from Nov. 9 to Jan. 5 from daytime to nighttime.

The exhibit includes The Christmas Village, The 12 Days of Christmas and the 50-foot-tall Dazzling Musical Tree.The displays are creatively designed for the 66-acre garden, it is open to the public both in the daytime and evening. In the historic DeGolyer House, decorated by renowned designer Michael Hamilton, featuring the new collection of nearly 600 nutcrackers. Visitors can experience the essence of holiday charm at the Christmas Classics exhibit.

Holiday at the Arboretum also showcases live, seasonal performance from local schools in the neighborhood, churches, community groups and local professionals in The Christmas Village. 

Additional unique events include the daily holiday tea, vendor markets on select weekends and more.

The holiday festivities at the arboretum are perfect for people of all ages to make holiday memories, Dallas Arboretum Board Chair Will McDaniel said. Children can meet Santa Clause, families can enjoy The Christmas Village featuring charming holiday shops and the striking 23-foot-tall German-built Christmas Pyramid, McDaniel added in the press release. The garden is also the perfect place for a holiday stroll, he said.

Holiday at the Arboretum will host an official Opening Ceremony on November 8 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., in front of the Marilyn and Ben Weber Family Christmas Pyramid at 7 p.m. This event will include lighting up the entire garden at the same time, and will officially open the next day. The garden opens during the evening hours until 9 p.m. on select days.

Tickets for the garden are required for entry and range anywhere from $13 to $35. Guests are encouraged to reserve preferred dates in advance.
