The changes go into effect Aug. 2. Opening hours will be 11-1 a.m. Sunday-Wednesday and 11-3 a.m. Thursday-Saturday at the location on Greenville Avenue. The pizza spot on Peavy Road will be open 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday-Sunday.

“Happy employees create happy customers,” said restaurant owner Sammy Mandell in a press release. “We’ve always taken care of our people, and now we’re dialing back our hours to make things a bit easier on our staff, while still offering the same great food (and late-night service) that our loyal patrons have come to love.”

In addition to the reduced hours, the restaurant is aiming to attract employees with a $200 bonus for new hires after their first six weeks on the job. Most of Greenville Avenue Pizza Company’s workers earn $13-$16 per hour.

The pizza place first opened in Lowest Greenville in 2007, and the second location opened in 2017. It plans to open a third location in Richardson this year.

Greenville Avenue Pizza Company is located at 1923 Greenville Ave. and 1145 Peavy Road.
