Voters will decide a $1.35 billion bond program for DISD May 10 (early voting April 28-May 6). The bond program is proposed to provide improvements to every school in the District, specifically to build 15 new schools (8 elementary schools, 4 middle schools and 3 high schools), construct new additions in 12 existing schools, renovate more than 200 schools, build science labs, purchase classroom and lab computers, update technology and infrastructure, refurbish sports complexes, and renovate and expand lunchrooms.
