Today, we visited the Dallas Arboretum for their Autumn collection, and it was nothing short of a spectacular experience, even with the few drops of rain.

It was pumpkins galore, from very small to gigantic round pumpkins, and the color orange decorated all parts of the Arboretum. Birds, butterflies, squirrels, and dragonflies greeted incoming guests around the facility. Families snapped photos in front of pumpkin village homes, capturing memories they’d never forget, people, old and young smiling ear to ear, children running around pumpkins, and music softly playing in the background. It felt like Fall for the first time in a while.

There is so much to look at that you almost forget where to begin. Just follow the orange pumpkin road, and you’ll find Snoopy and his friends. All of it felt playful and reminiscent of the beloved children’s cartoon. But no matter where you start, don’t pass up a photo opportunity with Charlie Brown and his great big pumpkin!

Each village home has its personality. When people walk into the themed village they’re greeted by a large piano made up of white pumpkins, similar to the large piano the cartoon gang wood dances on. The first pumpkin home we walked to was Snoopy’s best friend, Woodstock. As we went further down the line, topiary characters appeared one by one next to their home.

Every corner had endless photo opportunities with the Peanuts Gang, including Snoopy, Woodstock, Pigpen, Linus, Lucy, Franklin, Peppermint Patty, and Marcie. Games and fun facts can be found on the walls inside the pumpkin patch homes. A hay maze is another activity people can partake in.

Outside of the cartoon themed pumpkin display, people can stop by the Cinderella pumpkin carriage for a fairytale inspired pumpkin display.

It’s a fun time for couples, families, and friends to enjoy this Fall season. Parking is easy, and the staff is always welcoming and friendly to new and returning visitors. Whether you’re a Dallas native whose visited the Arboretum on consecutive occasions or just in town for the weekend, grab a pair of comfy shoes, comfortable clothing, and maybe an umbrella for your Dallas Arboretum visit.
