Glass of beer on the bar counter.

The weekend is officially here. It’s time to clock out and clock into some Sunday night football. We’re ready to grab our blue jersey, silver accents, quirky cowboy hats, and fan towels and devour some greasy finger foods with an ice-cold beer to watch the Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Jets.

As the Cowboys season is back in full swing, we’ve listed some bars and restaurants for our neighborhood football fans to watch the football game this weekend.

The Old Crow

Nothing beats a hometown dive bar. The Old Crow welcomes customers for drinks, food, a game of pool, and a place to sit and watch some football. The laid-back bar is truly perfect for cheap drinks sure to bring in a good time. The bar welcomes you with its unpretentious spirit, and scruffy yet charming abode, sure to be ideal for those moments we’re yelling at the Cowboys.

HG Supply Co

Watch a game with spacious outdoor seating and a beautiful skyline view of Dallas at HG Supply Co. Sip on some frozen margs, ice cold beers, and dine in on a Crispy Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich or split some Cochinita Nachos with a buddy. The restaurant is a great place to get our day started with the group before heading out to a watch party.

Backyard

Enjoy games, music, and comfort food with cocktails and beer at the Backyard in Deep Ellum. The bar offers a casual atmosphere and is dog-friendly, no need to leave the fur friends at home. They can enjoy the game too. From drink specials to mouthwatering picnic plates, a visit to the backyard is a good time.

The Avenue Sports Grill

Since the restaurant opening in October 2019, The Avenue Sports Grill, located in Lower Greenville, has been home for numerous game days for fans to cheer on their teams and enjoy brunch or drinks on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The interior style of the grill has a hip and fresh vibe to capture the essence of the Lower Greenville area while also incorporating an open-air atmosphere.

Mayer’s Garden

From 1881, Mayer’s Garden was, and still is the place to be in Dallas. Not only is it great for its live music, it also offers a family-friendly environment that way the kids can come, no need to call the babysitter unless it’s the Super Bowl. It’s our longtime neighborhood bar and restaurant we can go to for our favorite games, food, and entertainment.
