There is a new location for Fruteria Cano in the neighborhood. Almost exactly two years ago, the smoothie, ice cream, fresh fruit and juice spot burned to the ground at its original location at Lindsley and Beacon in the Mount Auburn neighborhood in East Dallas.
They moved across the street and operated out of La Huasteca, a taco spot at the same intersection. There is now another opportunity to get your fruit fix at Colombia and Carroll. It shares the strip Tacqueria Pinocho, Pupuseria Los Gemelos, Graciela’s bakery, a Metro PCS store and Harvey B’s burgers.
In addition to startlingly large watermelons, guests can enjoy smoothies, juices, ice cream and a bevy of fruit and spice combinations at the newish Fruteria Cano.
The facade of the original remains in place at Beacon and Lindsley, held up by steel supporters, but it is unclear whether the fruteria will return to that location.
