St. Matthew’s Cathedral will host “Every Day’ll be Sunday” with photographs by Dickie Hill showcasing the life of faith in Dallas. The event will include a gallery talk and opening reception with the artist from 6-8 p.m.

Head to The Point at C. C. Young at 3:30 p.m. Thursday to learn from James Pepper,a  Bible art illumination artist. He reproduced the Bible by hand and will talk about his rare project. This event is free, but RSVP by calling 214-841-2831.

The University Crossing Public Improvement District is hosting a bike ride Friday, 4-6 p.m., that will highlight the Zagster bicycle docking stations near Mockingbird Station and the new pedestrian bridge. The fun starts at The Highland hotel’s bike station and heads toward the Meadows building. After the ride, WRR 101.1 will be at Mockingbird Station for “Bach in the Subway,” which includes a performance from the SMU Meadows School Bridge the Gap Chamber Players.

The Dallas Children’s Theater will begin showing “Yana Wana’s Legend of the Bluebonnet” on March 23. The play celebrates the first people of Texas’ contribution to our nation’s history. The co-production of Dallas Children’s Theater and Cara Mía Theatre Company celebrates the Coahuiltecans, who originated in Texas more than 14,000 years ago. The show runs Friday-Sunday through April 8, and tickets are $17-$21.

A Tasteful Place at the Dallas Arboretum will host registered Dietitian Nutritionist Cindy Kleckner from 1-3 p.m. She will demonstrate how fresh ingredients, vegetables and bold flavors can make for healthy cooking. There will also be live music with guitarist Eric Czechowski from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Café on the Green and Bravura Strings, a string trio band, 2-4 p.m. at the DeGolyer pergola.

Go “BA Star” at Bryan Adams High School on Saturday from 12:30-2 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person and $20 per family of four or more and include a hot dog, chips and a drink. There will also be face painting, crafts and a photo booth.

The document shredding event and fundraiser for Tietze Park is this Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Skillman Church of Christ. Sierra Shredding will be handling the on-site shredding for the event. It is $8 for the first 30 pounds of shredding.
