The M Streets resident told the Dallas Morning News today he’s thinking about running for Dallas mayor. Kunkle was Dallas police chief for six years and spent his entire career in city government. He also served as a police officer and assistant city manager in Arlington.
The only candidate to say he’s running for sure is City Councilman Ron Natinsky, who represents Far North Dallas. District 14 Councilman Angela Hunt and Park Board Chairman Mike Rawlings also have said they are considering a bid for mayor.
