The third and final restaurant of the newly built restaurant combo on Lowest Greenville has an opening date after the other two, B B Bop Seoul Kitchen and Yucatan Taco Stand, opened earlier this year.

We first heard Rapscallion was coming to Lowest Greenville more than a year ago. Now the restaurant, which aims to bring a “true neighborhood bistro to the bustling Lowest Greenville,” is set to open for dinner on July 7, according to a press release.

Located at 2023 Greenville Avenue, Rapscallion is a collaboration between partners chef Nathan Tate, Bradley Anderson and Brooks Anderson, who are the folks behind Boulevardier — a “French-inspired, neighborhood-friendly, chef-driven bistro” out of Bishop Arts District.

Rapscallion’s menu is heavily influenced by Tate’s upbringing on a multi-generational, still-operating family farm in Rockwall, Texas.

Tate and chef de cuisine Jonathan Peters will use a custom wood rotisserie and custom wood grill to prepare nearly all of the in-house dry-aged beef, pork, poultry and seafood. The steaks will be dry-aged aged in a large, customized refrigerator located behind the Rapscallion bar where neighbors can view it.

There will be a raw bar with an ever-changing selection of oysters, pickled shrimp and other freshly prepared seafood specialties.

Finally, expect to find beer, wine, spirits and cocktails with a focus on spirits distilled from grain, cane, and agave. In addition to the classics, Rapscallion will offer martini service with house-pickled garnishes to pair with Rapscallion’s oyster selection. The beer and wine selections will be 100 percent American-made products.

Once the restaurant opens, the bar, raw bar and selected appetizers will bd available at 4 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday. Then the kitchen will open at 5:30 p.m. and close at 10 p.m. On Friday and Saturday closing time is at 11 p.m. Weekend brunch hours will be added at a later date. The restaurant will be closed on Monday.
