Who says that we have to wait until the weekend to have fun? It’s summer after all, people. Here are some restaurant events around the neighborhood this week to get excited about:
Vickery Park restaurant is hosting movie nights every Monday this summer.  Tonight’s screening of Caddyshack begins at 9 p.m. $5 Arnold Palmer cocktails will be served all night.
From 10 p.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday, Â don your bathrobe and shades and head over to DaLat Vietnamese restaurant for some $3 White Russians and a Big Lebowski-themed karaoke night. We’re not totally sure how dressing up as The Dude will play into the late night karaoke, but we’re not totally opposed to dressing up and going there to find out either.
Derrick, a cook at The Libertine Bar and Restaurant, has organized a bike ride this Wednesday starting at 9 p.m. Ride your bike to the restaurant and get some dinner, then burn all of the calories while you take a nice evening ride around the neighborhood. Open to adults 21 and over.
Get the small fruit and cheese plate and watch some live music at an intimate jazz bar. The bluesy-Americana duo The Hippy Nuts will be performing from 6-9 p.m. Thursday night at The Balcony Club.
