When we last spotted neighborhood resident Kellie Fischer, chief financial officer of the Texas Rangers baseball team and vice president of Hicks Sports Group Inc., she was posing for a May 2009 story in our magazine with other neighborhood residents who help run the team. These days, though, Fischer is mentioned in the press just about every day as one of the people at the center of the Texas Rangers bankruptcy process. Just yesterday, Fischer was being berated by a bankruptcy judge in Fort Worth for one of her answers to his questions. She’ll probably have a lot to talk about at some point, but not until the bankruptcy process ends later this year. Others in the photo include (from left) human resources vice president Terry Turner, assistant general manager Thad Levine, Fischer, and former vice president of ticket sales Dan Fine, who has since gone to work for the Dallas Stars hockey team.
