All year, Joe Bevers was a mild-mannered Real Estate investor. But one special night a year, Bevers would dress up as Santa and visit his neighbors on Tokalon in Lakewood.
Bevers was continuing the tradition of his father and uncle, who donned the red fuzzy suit and beard before him. With his 30-year-old son in tow dressed up as an elf, Bevers stopped at about 20-25 neighbors homes every Christmas Eve, spinning a tail about how his sleigh crashed in a nearby tree.
