The restaurant company that brought Laurel Tavern and the Wah Wah Room to the neighborhood really loves the 1900 block of Lower Greenville. Last week, Laurel Concepts launched its third restaurant on the block with the opening of Eastside Social.

The eatery that serves fried chicken and boozy snow cones opened July 21 at 1928 Greenville Ave. in the space that was once Nora.

The bar specializes in fried chicken sandwiches that include Nashville hot, ranch and cold fried chicken, according to CultureMap. Wings come in three flavors: Nashville hot, buffalo and Louisiana style. There are also sides like fried pickles, fries, coleslaw and Hostess snacks.

The bar offers frozen margaritas, specialty drinks and three flavors of boozy snow cones. When it’s hotter than 99 degrees outside, neighbors can get $1 off any beverage.

The rooftop bar was the first part of the eatery to open with limited hours from 5 p.m. to midnight Thursday and Friday and noon to midnight Saturday and Sunday. A restaurant and arcade room will debut on the ground floor later this summer, a company spokesperson told CultureMap.

Eastside is the brainchild of California-based company, Laurel Concepts. The company debuted Laurel Tavern in 2018, and the Wah Wah Room opened in May.
