Trivial but interesting connection as movie award season approaches: John Amend, the real estate executive who lives in a White Rock Lake mansion, and his wife Teresa are uncle and aunt to movie producer Bonnie Curtis whose credits include Saving Private Ryan, Minority Report, AI and Jurassic Park.
According to a Star Telegram news brief, Curtis and Glenn Close, co-producer and star of the buzzworthy January release Albert Nobbs, wooed investors and secured funding for the film at a fall 2010 dinner party at the Amend’s East Dallas home.
Said movie is scheduled for release Jan. 27.
