For 23 years, James Pepper of East Dallas has been working on a project he might never finish. He is creating a handwritten, illustrated version of the King James Bible. So far, he’s finished the gospels, several books of the Old Testament, and he hopes to complete Psalms by Easter.
And he’s not writing it out with a ballpoint pen. He uses a metal pen dipped in calligraphy ink.
