We’re calling all the East Dallas lovers and especially the nosy neighbors who pay attention to details, new and old. From history and geography to local culture and politics, we’ll be covering it all during our Advocate Trivia Night, hosted with the folks at Sundown at the Granda on Thursday, July 13. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the games get going at 8:30 p.m.

Teams of two-six players are invited to compete for prizes along with the ultimate bragging rights as the winners of the inaugural East Dallas Insider Award. If you’d like to register your team in advance, click here and you’ll be eligible for an additional prize (plus we’ll provide you with a cool team name sign and give you priority seating at the event). But registration is not required to play, just come down on July 13 with your team ready to compete. Spectators are also welcome to attend and enjoy this contest of neighborhood knowledge.

Food and drink will be available for purchase between three rounds of competition that will determine the first-ever East Dallas Insider. Those looking to stack the deck in their favor might read over this month’s Historical Happenings map that highlights places of historical significance. If you have questions, email me for a speedy response.
