Classic Chassis Car Club Show

Hosted at the Dallas Arboretum, the Chassis Car Club returns for their annual Father’s Day and Juneteenth Holiday Car Show. Chassis Car Club is an LGBTQ+ car club focused on fostering connections between communities.

The event will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 17-19. Entry to the show is free, as the price of admission is included in guest’s entry to the Dallas Arboretum.

Needle and Wet Felting with Niki Dionne

Perfect for dads who enjoy creating, this adults-only class will allow guests to explore the art of needle and wet felting with instructor Niki Dionne. Hosted at the Bath House Cultural Center, the class is free and can seat 12 participants.

Dallas Comedy Club standup

If your dad loves a good laugh, Dallas Comedy Club has you covered.

With entertainment ranging from standup by Jeff D., The Dark Nights with Pete Jung and Sketch Club’s newest performance — DCC has something for everyone.

Event times, age restrictions and ticket prices vary by performance. Details and a full calendar of events can be found on the DCC website. DCC is located in Deep Ellum at 3036 Elm St.

Father’s Day Glove Encounter

Window to the Wild is back for Father’s Day at the Dallas Arboretum. This event allows observers to get first-hand experience with birds.

Each appearance by WTTW has a different theme. This weekend’s has not been announced. The handlers will provide information to guests about how birds navigate the air and their flight mechanics.

The appearances start at 10:30 a.m. June 18 and last until noon. Entry to the birding event is included with regular admission to the garden.

Fresh Reads

Hosted at the Bath House Cultural Center, Fresh Reads is put on by Pegasus Theatre and features performances directed by Rita Anderson, Germaine Shames and Straton Rushing.

Shames performs on Friday with The Robotics of Love and Longing. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Rushing’s Mutability is live at 2 p.m. Saturday, followed by an evening performance of Anderson’s The Art of Martyrdom. Anderson’s performance is followed by a post-show talkback with the cast and director.

Tickets for each performance vary between $15-$20. The Bath House Cultural Center is located at 521 E. Lawther Dr.
