As a reader pointed out, violent crime is up in Old East Dallas and the Lower Greenville area. And the stats just got a little worse.
Two East Dallas bars have been robbed at gunpoint since Tuesday.
The Dallasite was robbed Tuesday by a customer who returned from the bathroom with a gun and walked out with $450. And on Wednesday, the Old Monk was robbed by three gunmen who got $6,000 out of the pub’s safe.
Dallas police senior corporal Kevin Janse told the Observer they don’t think the crimes are related.
