A 13-year-old boy is still recovering from a dog attack on Monday that sent him to the hospital.
Jesus Galvon was attacked around 8:30 p.m. while he was playing outside his apartment complex with some friends in the 5900 block of Gaston.
According to Fox News 4, The dog bit Galvon in the calf and thigh, leaving several wounds that required stitches on his leg.
“I kept on pushing him and I was trying to dunk him to get away from me,” Galvon said. “I was trying to break his neck, but he was too strong.”
After fighting off the dog, Galvon ran to a nearby apartment. When police arrived they used a taser on the dog, killing it.
Galvon said he feared for his life.
“I’m very thankful they helped me,” Galvon said. “I could have been dead.”
