Earlier this month, Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake unveiled its newly renovated postpartum unit featuring all-private suites.
Doctors Hospital said in an email that the suites feature concierge services, new furnishings, flat screen TVs and 24-hour wireless internet access. The idea is to offer patients the amenities of a modern hotel in order to make families feel more at home.
The rooms include a sleeping area and hotel-style room service, including a wide variety of foods, the email says. Moms can choose when and what they want to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each meal is specially prepared to order and delivered to the patient’s room.
