The countdown for Valentine’s Day has begun. If you’re still nailing down plans for a romantic night on the town, check out these neighborhood options:

Twisted Root is putting its own spin on the holiday by offering a “Lovers Table” at each location. The special table will be draped in a tablecloth and also include rose petals, floral arrangements and candles. The manager will even be at your service to deliver your food directly to the table. It’s just the right amount of romantic. The table will be available Feb. 14 on a first come, first served basis.

Three words: Candlelight poetry dinner. Garden Cafe at 5310 Junius is hosting a poetry dinner, starting at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. It’s $60 per person and BYOB (no cork fee). There will be four courses of food with ridiculous names. Call 214.887.8330 to make a reservation via credit card. There’s limited seating, and you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance.

Peak & Elm Cocina Y Bar is hosting a Valentine’s Day dinner, which will feature a three-course menu of salad, braised chicken chocolate-pasilla mole or Mexican garlic red snapper, and strawberry tamales. Guests will also be treated to live music by Woodrow Wilson High School students. Reservations are $35 per person plus tax and gratuity. The restaurant is located at 132 N. The Grape Restaurant is celebrating Valentine’s Day all weekend long. The popular dining destination for lovers’ features a chef-inspired, Valentine’s Day three-course menu on Saturday, Feb. 14, beginning at 5 p.m. for $65 person with an option to add wine pairings for $25; beverages, tax and gratuity additional. With decadent choices available in each course, Valentines can celebrate the occasion with romantic bistro fare prepared by Chef de Cuisine Sarah Snow. Reservations required for Feb. 14 and highly recommended for Feb. 13 and 15.  Located at 2808 Greenville Avenue.
