What goes up must first come down.
Demolition has begun on Arboretum Village. For the past few days, crews have been out with machinery of the most destructive kind, clawing the old building to shreds in order to make room for a brand new shopping center.
So far we know of at least three future tenants for the shopping center. First The Fresh Market signed on, which, as Advocate reporter Keri Mitchell wrote, is a sort of mini Central Market. Second, Ace Hardware agreed to transplant from its current location in Lakewood Shopping Center to Arboretum Village, and most recently, Luke’s Locker became the third tenant to sign on the dotted line.
