On Sept. 1, at around 9:25 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting at 100 block of S. Carroll Ave..

A uniformed car guard, David Ruback was shot during a robbery at the location. The 52-year-old man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.

At this time there is no suspect description, and no suspect is in custody.

Investigators determined Ruback and his partner were in the process of making a delivery of cash to a business. As Ruback turned away and walked towards the door, an unknown suspect also approached the door and shot him. The suspect picked up the courier bag of cash and vacated the scene in a white Chevrolet Impala with a second suspect.

The investigation is ongoing with detectives actively working leads. The Dallas Police Department has now asked for the public’s help in identifying the two suspects that were involved in the homicide. The department has released surveillance video of the suspects and the their vehicle.

The car has not been located.
