Dallas Arboretum hosts their sixth annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration this weekend. The two day celebration features latin food, vendors, live music, cooking demonstrations and a Quinceañera Fashion Show to kickstart the weekend.

The entertainment includes fan favorites Havana NRG, performing Saturday at 2:30pm, dancing with the Consul General of Peru on Sunday at 10:30am and Tejano Star, Jay Perez, performing Sunday at 2pm. 

This weekend celebration is free with garden admission for all Dallas Arboretum visitors.

People can come and go as they wish into the arboretum to enjoy any of the offered events, a schedule for the events occurring are listed below.

Saturday, September 9 

  • 10 a.m. – Celebration of Quinceañera Fashion Show (Rosine Hall)
  • 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Vendor market (Entry Plaza)
  • 11 a.m. – Quinceañera Parade (Paseo & A Tasteful Place)
  • 11a.m. – 12 p.m. – Cooking Demonstration by Munay Peruvian Kitchen (A Tasteful Place)
  • 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Vendor market ( Tasteful Place)
  • 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. – Adriana Cordero performance (Jeanne’s Pavilion)
  • 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. – Cooking Demonstration by Cuzco Peruvian Restaurant (A Tasteful Place)
  • 2:30 p.m.– 4 p.m. – Havana NRG! (Rosine Hall)

Sunday, September 10

  • 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Vendor market (Entry Plaza and A Tasteful Place)
  • 10 a.m. – Pies de Oro- Huylarsh Perfromance (Entry Plaza) 
  • 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Peruvian Consulate Performance (Rodriguez Gazebo)
  • 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Cooking Demonstration by Chef Julian from Dallas Culinary Company (A Tasteful Place)
  • 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. – Adriana Cordero performance (Jeanne’s Pavilion)
  • 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. – Beer Tasting with Odd Muse Brewing (Three Sisters Overlook)
