Sunny skies are expected for Sunday’s races, with a high near 60 degrees. In the event of weather, race officials and National Weather Service meteorologists will monitor for heavy rain, thunder, lightning, high winds and extreme temperatures to decide if the race should be delayed or canceled. The event was canceled in 2013 because of an ice storm that downed power lines and caused slick streets.

Street closures

Dallas police will be available to direct traffic and ensure all home and business owners in the area will be able to move freely. Officers will also be able to provide motorists with alternative routes. A complete list of street closures can be found here.

Parking

Participants and spectators will have access to surface parking lots that are within walking distance to the start and finish line, as well as the post-race party area. However, marathon organizers encourage everyone to take the DART to avoid traffic and parking delays. The Convention Center Station is close to the start and finish line. The Mockingbird and White Rock stations are also close to the course for viewing.
