Daiso, a Japanese dollar store, will open a location at Mockingbird Commons, The Dallas Morning News first reported.
The store is taking suite 141, between Sport Clips and ATI Physical Therapy, according to the shopping center’s site plan, which shows the size of the suite as 5,582 square feet.
It looks like construction on the inside of the store is about to begin, if it hasn’t already. Signs are up on the windows to invite applicants to apply for jobs.
Daiso already has locations in Frisco, Plano, Irving, Carrollton, Grapevine, Arlington, Fort Worth and Euless. As of February 2020, the company had more than 5,700 stores in 26 countries.
The store carries a variety of products, including accessories, food items, cooking supplies, drinkware, pet accessories, stationery and games, among others.
With Daiso, Mockingbird Commons — located at the northwest corner of East Mockingbird Lane and Abrams Road — only has one available space, which was formerly occupied by a health clinic operated by White Rock Medical Group, according to the shopping center website.
