The ice cream shop opened at Thunderbird Pies in 2021. It is operated by PILF Group, which also owns Cane Rosso and Zoli’s.

Fort Worth’s Cow Tipping Creamery also closed.

Cow Tipping Creamery lost access to its commissary kitchen in Carrollton where the desserts were being made. In terms of baking and supply, the company couldn’t support multiple locations experiencing low sales, including the Dallas location, a spokesperson for the company tells the Advocate.

Thunderbird Pies plans to offer a simpler ice cream sundae bar at the Dallas store, in place of the full dessert menu.

The takeout ordering and pickup station will probably move behind the ice cream bar, the PILF Group spokesperson says.

The Dallas Morning News first reported the story.
