A man looking for quick cash picked the wrong East Dallas business to rob on Wednesday evening. When he brandished his handgun and demanded money, the clerk pulled out his own gun and opened fire.

According to police reports, the would-be robber fired back before fleeing the premises in the 4400 block of Gaston. It was unclear if he was injured in the exchange.
