The cause of Tuesday’s fire at Woodrow Wilson High School remains under investigation, but classes will be closed Wednesday and possibly Thursday as crews clean up the remains.

Several Woodrow teachers confirmed the worst of the damage was in a boy’s bathroom on the third floor of the historic wing of the high school. However, flames were also spotted through the lattice work in the school’s first floor auditorium. (See our earlier coverage, along with a photo gallery and video).

So far, it is unclear how much damage the building sustained.

As a precaution, Dallas Independent School District notified Woodrow’s staff that the school would be closed for the next day or two in the following message:
