The City’s Office of Emergency Management and Crisis Response has announced its upcoming Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training Course.
The program, taking place at the Dallas Fire-Rescue Training Academy, is free and designed to empower local residents with essential skills for emergency and disaster preparedness.
The curriculum covers first aid and fire safety, light search and rescue operations, a hands-on disaster exercise on the final day and basic disaster preparedness. Individuals who complete the sessions will receive a certificate of completion.
The deadline for registration is Sept.6.
