After spending just over 30 years on the corner of McKinney Avenue and Knox Street, the Chuy’s restaurant will be moving to Greenville Avenue in 2025, according to The Dallas Morning News.
This news comes after developers Trammell Crow Co. and BDT & MSD Partners have started executing a mixed-use development project on Knox Street. When completed, the area will be home to a park, office spaces, retail and restaurant spaces and more, according to the Trammell Crow Co. newsroom website.
The Tex-Mex restaurant will be closing at the McKinney Avenue location in April of 2025 and is expected to be reopening at 1520 Greenville Avenue, formerly the Desert Racer restaurant, that same month.
Vice president of operations for Chuy’s, Travis Hudson, told The Dallas Morning News that the current location will remain operating as normal until the expected closing.
