When Chip’s Old Fashioned Hamburger opened at Skillman and Live Oak last month, they still had some work to do at the Lakewood location, including building the promised patio.
The patio is now complete, and the only thing that could make it more perfect is warmer weather. They’ve got a heater set-up, but my chilly bones aren’t buying it. Not today anyways. Maybe once the weather gets above freezing.
It’s roomy enough to seat 30 or so people, and managing partner Brent Gamster says they also intend to throw open the foldable windows in the dining area, to give the whole space more of a patio-like feel.
