Chip’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers on Lovers near the Tollway announced on their website they are opening a new location in Lakewood “very soon.” They said to be watching their Facebook page for more information, but I haven’t seen any juicy news bits revealed via the interwebs just yet.
The rumor was that the new location would be in the vacant space behind Matt’s that was, once upon a time, Lucky Dog Books. When I called the Chip’s on Lovers, I was told that is true. So far, it doesn’t look like there’s any construction going on at the building — or any activity, for that matter — but the man I talked with, who wasn’t the owner, so take it with a grain of salt, says he thinks they are hoping to be up and running by August.
