The national chain closed all of its stores today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to have a corporate-wide chat with employees about food safety, which is likely an attempt to do damage control after a lawsuit promoted by several food-borne illness outbreaks. According to the Dallas Morning News two E. coli outbreaks sickened at least 60 customers in 14 states, although none in Texas.

But hey, you could get a free burrito out of the ordeal, if you hurry. Anyone who wants free food should text the word “raincheck” to 888-222 before 6 p.m. “If we messed up your lunch plans today, follow the steps and we’ll hook you up,” the company said on its website.
