The actor whom most people know as Frodo from Peter Jackson’s "Lord of the Rings" trilogy ducked into Corner Market for a bit this afternoon before heading to the Granada tonight to watch Gogol Bordello play.
Restaurant owner Chuck Cole gave me the hot tip, adding that his female employees did double takes and rushed to the counter when Wood walked in the door. The band was with him — Wood became friends with lead singer Eugene Hutz while filming "Everything is Illuminated", and Hutz introduced him to band backup dancer Pamela Racine, whom Wood is dating, according to celeb gossip.
Cole couldn’t tell me what Wood ordered, but he did say that it’s not uncommon to find Granada performers grabbing a bite at Corner Market right before a concert.
