The Celebration White Rock run will be tonight, and officials are setting up barricades to prevent cars from driving on the race course.
Specifically, the barriers will be along Lawther at Tiffany Way, Poppy Drive, Lake Highlands Drive and Mockingbird Lane.
The White Rock Lake Conservancy is hosting the 5K and 10K races, as well as the post-run party, which will feature local food and drink vendors.
Registration for the event, which is scheduled for 6-9 p.m., includes a chipped bib, event shirt, hat, reusable tote and entry to the party.
This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the White Rock Lake Conservancy, and last year’s iteration was canceled. In the past, the Celebration White Rock events have helped fund the phases of the stone tables restoration project and signage around the lake.
