The mock trial teams from Bryan Adams and Woodrow Wilson are in the final rounds of the competition.

They advanced past the Jan. 27 quarterfinal round, and they will now participate in the semifinal round Feb. 5. If they make it past the semifinal, they’ll be in the final round, which is scheduled for the same day at the George Allen Courthouse.

Nineteen teams from Dallas ISD high schools started in the regional mock trial competition, and eight made it to the quarterfinal.

The Bryan Adams team is led by captains Raisa Mercado and Carissa Burns. The other team members are Sarah Terry, Marialejandra Eraza, Atziry Juarez, Jamil Al-Sakini and timekeeper Desiree Rodriguez. Kim Elkjer, an attorney, is their coach, and Amanda Jones is the team sponsor.
