Black Swan Yoga is expanding to East Dallas with a location at Skillman Live Oak Center.
The studio will be at 1920 Skillman St. in the old Sunstone Yoga space between Pizza Hut and Behavioral Innovations.
This will be the third Dallas location for Black Swan, with existing studios in Oak Cliff and near Inwood Village. It is expected to open this summer.
Black Swan is a donation-based, heated yoga studio offering classes in a variety of styles, including Vinyasa, Power, Yin, Hot Onnit and Ashtanga. The company has locations in Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Denver.
Recently, there have been changes to the businesses at and around Skillman Live Oak Center.
Society Bakery, which has been on Greenville Avenue for 20 years, is relocating to the shopping center, just a couple of doors down from Black Swan. In May, JuJu’s Coffee opened its first brick-and-mortar location in the old Coffee Company spot on La Vista Drive near Skillman Street.
Matt’s Rancho Martinez closed in April, and the space remains vacant.
In addition to the comings and goings, there has been a series of thefts at businesses in the area, including Buzzbrews, Benny’s Bagels and Redenta’s.
