The exhibit, titled Día de Muertos: Estampas de Vida, features artists from Texas, Mexico and Wisconsin. In years past, the only medium the exhibit featured was printmaking. This year, however, all art mediums were welcome for submission. In addition to many different kinds of prints, the exhibit includes ofrendas, which are altars honoring deceased people who were dear to the artists, including friends, relatives and public figures.

An ofrenda usually includes the favorite things of those deceased, like certain foods, drinks, photos or memorabilia.

The Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, is celebrated on Nov. 1-2. For some, the holiday represents inviting the spirits of the dead back to visit, and the ofrendas built are intended to attract the souls of those the altars are dedicated to. For others, the holiday is a joyous celebration of those who are gone, and the objects at ofrendas provide reminders of how the deceased lived their lives.

The Bath House is open on Tuesday-Saturday from noon to 6 p.m.
