The bar, which is known for its pop-ups, will offer themed food and drinks, live music and decor to commemorate the legacy of Barbie. Staff will also wear clothes from different eras of Barbie.

Outside, the bar will look like a DreamHouse, and the inside will feature pieces such as a Corvette bed, digital photo booth and an accessories wall.

Food items include Barbie’s Burger, Teresa’s Tenders and the California Club. For drinks, the bar will offer cocktails with names like Life in Plastic and He’s Just Ken.

At the same time as the pop-up, The Whippersnapper will hold a donation drive. Visitors can bring Barbie dolls in boxes and accessories, which will be given to Children’s Medical after the pop-up ends.

The Whippersnapper will close Aug. 6 to be renovated, and it will reopen as the “Bar-bie” pop-up Aug. 10. The pop-up will remain open until Sept. 30 at 1806 McMillan Ave.

In the past, The Whippersnapper has transformed into immersive experiences inspired by Friends, The Simpsons, Austin Powers and Game of Thrones. The concept is one of several owned by This and That Hospitality, along with High Fives, Tiny Victories, Session Pilates, Ferris Wheelers, Sfuzzi and Double D’s.

Barbie debuted July 21, along with Oppenheimer. Together, the films brought in about $244 million during the opening weekend in the United States, according to online database Box Office Mojo.

Dallas didn’t escape the Barbie craze. Local businesses such as SusieCakes and La Neta Cocina y Lounge offered specials ahead of the movie’s release.
