Baldo’s Ice Cream & Coffee is opening a location in our neighborhood.
The store will be housed in Casa Linda Plaza at 9440 Garland Road. A grand opening date is set for Sept. 24.
Baldo’s maintains the motto “anything but vanilla.” Flavor offerings include cookies ‘n cream, Oreo cookie dough, mint chip, salted caramel, chocolate, coffee toffee made with beans roasted in Oak Cliff, coffee Oreo and strawberry shortcake. Incidentally, the ice cream shop does sell vanilla bean, but in their defense, “it’s really good.”
There are also seasonal flavors, dairy-free options and kinds still going through the research and development phase. Brave souls can try them for a discounted price, fill out a rating card and get a free scoop card.
Ice cream scoops are available in different sizes, including mini cone flights.
This will be the second Baldo’s in Dallas. The other is located near SMU on Hillcrest Avenue.
