Dallas-based August Real Estate Co. has acquired its third East Dallas property with Lakewood Tower.
The group, which also owns the Continental Gin Building and 331 First Ave., bought the nine-story property at 6301 Gaston Ave. from a partnership controlled by Caddo Holdings.
A Caddo affiliate will keep ownership of the recently completed Caddo Office Reimagined building next door.
The Lakewood Tower contains about 120,000 square feet of office space, and it also offers a five-level parking garage. Businesses such as Wells Fargo, Baylor Scott & White and The Advocate are housed in the building in the heart of the neighborhood.
August Real Estate Co. is co-founded by neighbor Jordan August, who lives on Swiss Avenue. The company focuses on restoring, not redeveloping, the properties it acquires.
“With two other nearby assets, the historic Continental Gin Building and 333 1st Avenue, Lakewood Tower is a continuation of our expansion within the area and builds upon our strategic approach of acquiring properties for the long-term, creating lasting assets that are a part of the surrounding community,” August said in a statement.
