District 14 City Councilman Angela Hunt of East Dallas today said she’s not running for mayor, after announcing a few weeks ago she was considering a run for the job.
Hunt told WFAA reporter Shelly Slater, “I believe the next mayor needs to be someone who comes from outside city council.”
That means these guys won’t be running for Dallas City Council after all.
Former DPD Chief David Kunkle, who lives in our neighborhood, has filed paperwork to run for mayor. Ron Natinsky is the only current councilman in the race. And Parks Board president Mike Rawlings also says he is considering running.
