“This means so much to us because these people need their jobs to survive,” he said. “As a resident of Lakewood, I knew when we opened 25 years ago that we needed to become a neighborhood partner, not just a for-profit business. We have been repaid tenfold for this partnership.”

From one neighborhood business to another, here’s our ode to Burger House.

Oh, Burger House, I long for your fries with the special salt during these scary times. You are my best friend. After I drove my daughter from East Dallas to figure skate in Frisco, she always wanted a burger and fries. You comforted me after my son played soccer, broke his face and demanded a shake, burger and fries. You catered events when my children attended St. John’s Episcopal School. I loved pulling up to your drive-thru, where happy people supported local schools and were overjoyed to see me. We stocked our children’s Christmas stockings with Burger House salt. And now, when my 23-year-old daughter works in New Jersey during these scary times, we ship her Burger House salt. This taste of home makes her happy. Generations of customers feel the same way.
