Designer Nikki Duong Koenig is the chick in the conscientious company Cykochik, whose trendsetting, custom- (and environmentally responsibly) made handbags and accessories we’ve been admiring for the past decade or so.
I mean, just look at this tote (not to mention the J. Peterman catalog-esque descriptions).
Or this.
The Kabuki-inspired clutch above as an example, the SMU alumna doesn’t always think-up her brilliantly bizarre designs solo. She sometimes collaborates with local artists and has even been known to populate new product lines by way of popular demand, employing her many social media followers to pick their favorite samples.
Koenig’s accessories are fashioned from fine non-leather materials.
“I’m a lifelong animal lover and activist who believes in compassion for all living beings, and practice a cruelty-free vegan lifestyle,” Koenig explains.
In this vein, she is teaming up tonight with the animal rights organization The Humane League at The Sundown at Granada to launch her new Causes collection.
Festivities begin at 7 p.m. on the rooftop and run until 9 p.m., so head over after the Celebration! White Rock fundraiser.
Enjoy Sundown’s supreme cuisine, which includes delicious vegan options, and shop Cykochik’s cutting-edge spring line while benefiting an organization that works to protect farmed animals, like this piglet.
If you miss the event, you can always shop and donate online.
